New Orleanian led cultural event curation company Them People Productions, is all about promoting, encouraging, and strengthening the New Orleans Black community through the performing and culinary arts. After launching their virtual Black Artist spotlight series Whereabouts in 2020,and their ongoing monthly series Them People at 3 Keys at The Ace Hotel, that highlights Black New Orleans performing artists, they are back with another edition of their series SOULidarity, a curated outside performance series highlighting Black New Orleans based performers, vendors, culinary artists, food trucks, and community organizations with an emphasis on networking, dancing, and Black Joy. What started as a safe outdoor platform for NOLA Hip Hop/R&B Artists to perform at has quickly become an ongoing high demand event. A rotating cast of New Orleans based Black owned retail and culinary businesses will vend each iteration of the series. This edition of the event, curated by Them People Productions Co-Founder Nate Cameron, features musical performances from rising Hip Hop/R&B collective glbl wrmng, the powerfully soulful vocals of Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph, and a headlining set by Bounce legend and creator of the Hit song “Getch Sum,” Hasizzle. DJ sets by DJ PJ. Our community organization spotlight this month, whom a percentage of the proceeds will go to, will be Hitts After Hitts, a Black Woman New Orleans native owned New Orleans music academy with over 30+ years of developing Black and Brown musicians in New Orleans.
